Member of the Willowdale Group of Artists and won Best Landscape for 2016 which was sold
Born in Cheshire, England, I always remember being able to paint and draw.
My first painting was a small 4” x 6” watercolour of a sailboat, at the age of 16.
I married and came to Canada at the age of 22. For the next 30 years I painted very little.
In 1996, I remarried and spent the Winter months in Florida where I took classes at the Dunedin Fine Arts School.
I started with watercolours and basic drawing, followed by coloured pencil. I progressed to soft pastels, receiving a second-place ribbon from the American Pastel Society for a still life, “Plate of Fruit.”
Returning to live in Toronto in 2005, I took up oil painting with Vladimir Ribatchok, doing landscapes and portraits.
I am a member of the Willowdale Group of Artists and won Best Landscape for 2016 which was sold.
Since 1996, I have been a volunteer for animal shelters in Florida, Lindsay, Ontario, and in Oakville where I currently reside.
I work in pastel, coloured pencil and oil. My passion is pet portraits.
